Homeowners witnessed giant hailstones as large as seven centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that multiple regions across the state had been affected by large hailstones.

Rescue organizations responded to over five hundred requests for assistance across the region, mostly for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.

Meteorological Predictions

Moist weather were predicted to continue along large portions of eastern Queensland this coming days as a atmospheric system continued to pull in damp air against the coast.

Tuesday was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent storm activity expected across different parts of both regions.

Health Warning

Health officials warned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the northern rural areas, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.

This warning comes after past events where analogous circumstances led to substantial respiratory problems in the region.
